Ask yourself …
What makes a voice pleasant to listen to? Is being pleasant always necessary?
What quality do we want to achieve with our messages? What impression do we want to make?
What messages do we give through our voices? What could we do to help people listen to us?
Do we always use the right voice for the right situation?
Articulating thoughts in a clear and lucid way does not always come naturally and yet in an increasingly mediatized and competitive world these are vital skills that will ensure that you are listened to. Long hours, stress and challenging work environments take their toll on the corporate voice.
Whether you are preparing for a presentation, a pitch, an interview, a feedback session or a difficult conversation,I offer practical strategies that increase personal presence and empower your voice so that you remain calm yet energised.
I have tools and techniques that increase vocal release and resonance, deepen the breath and optimise vocal dexterity. This calms the nerves and gives the speaker more gravitas and grounding which encourages the listener to feel more engaged.
Wellness
I am a fully insured and trained Indian Head Massage (IHM) practitioner, a technique based on ancient Aruyvedic principles.
Touch is an instinctive, natural language essential for stimulating our nervous system and promoting healthy physical development.
In our increasingly computerised society, I am always seeking ways to ameliorate the tensions that develop through phone scrolling, and the decreased use of verbal connection. I wanted to explore different ways to free articulators, deepen breath, and give more vocal freedom.
Voice work is enormously healing, but is not a one size fits all process.
Our voices are an alchemy of anatomy, physiology, and psychology and by working with awareness through the ways our voices are made, contained, restrained, and released we can find freedom, flexibility and empowerment.
The added therapeutic benefits of IHM are reduced muscle tension, improved flexibility, lymphatic drainage and stress relief. It focuses on the head, neck, shoulders, upper back, upper arms, face and ears using a combination of massage techniques and Chakra balancing.
